Seapower is a private/public non profit research center participated by the University of Naples Federico II, working in the field of industrial engineering, with a special focus on energy from renewable sources.
At ZeroEmission Mediterranean 2023, Seapower, with its competences, know-how and services of extremely relevant level, will present its projects and patents in the field of renewable energy development and in particular for wind and photovoltaic fields, offshore wind and energy from tidal currents and from wave motion.
Prof. Domenico Coiro, Seapower President, will give his speech during the session “Medium-long term prospects for wind power“, on 11 October from 3.45pm to 5.30pm in Hall 1 – Room B, with a report entitled “Floating Offshore Wind Turbines: a contribution to energy transition and an occasion for new job creation“: the speech will regard the challenges and the opportunities related to the development of floating offshore wind turbines (FOWT) both in Ocean and in Mediterranean Sea.
In the Poster Area, Seapower will present its main projects such as Floatech&Floatfarm, Hydraspar, Gemstar, Pivot, Anemos and Aurora.
